FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WUSA9) -- Falls Church police say they are looking for a dog and his owner after the dog bit a woman outside a CVS last week.

Police say on Thursday or Friday at 4:30 p.m. a woman was bitten on the leg as she petted one of two dogs tied by their green leashes outside the CVS at 1150 W. Broad Street at Birch Street.

The woman described the dog that bit her as "medium-sized shaggy mixed breed with salt and pepper coloring," say police. The other dog was a brown Dachshund-type breed, according to police.

Police say they heard about the incident on Monday. They are trying to find the dog and their owner to determine whether the woman needs to get rabies inoculations.

If you know any information, then please call the City of Falls Church Police Department at 703-241-5050.
