STERLING, Va. (WUSA 9)-- Sunday, deputies responded to the area Oakdale Ct./Lindenwood Ct. in Sterling after a motorist reported seeing an unknown subject brandish a firearm from a vehicle.
Loudoun County sheriff's office authorities say a traffic stop was initiated by a deputy on a vehicle in the area of Algonkian Parkway and Route 7. The vehicle sped off at high speed and pulled into the Oakdale Ct/Lindenwood Ct where it was forced to stop in a cul de sac, according to authorities.
An unnamed passenger in the vehicle was identified as a 17-year-old male from Ashburn. Officers say they suspected marijuana was on the passenger. The juvenile now has charges pending against him, say authorities.
The driver, 19-year-old Ryan L. Glover of Ashburn, was charged with driving without a license and eluding, say authorities. A pellet gun and other items were located inside of the car.
The original complainant declined to cooperate further in the brandishing aspect of the case, say authorities.
