(WUSA9) -- A truck driver was trapped after an accident on the Capital Beltway near the Ritchie Road exit on Thursday morning, according to Prince George's County Fire Department Spokesperson Mark Brady.

The multi-car accident happened on the Inner Loop of the Beltway shortly before 9 a.m., closing most of the travel lanes. Traffic is now getting by on the left side.

Sky 9 footage appears to show a hearse at the scene.

The driver was extricated, says Brady. Brady said at least three people with non threatening injuries were transported to a trauma center and one other person with "less serious" injuries was taken to area hospital. The injured include three men and one woman, according to Brady.
