FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County police say a 23-year-old swim coach is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery after allegedly inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl.

Police say the girl's mother told them on July 3 that her daughter had been inappropriately touched on several occasions. Detectives investigating the case and charged Eduardo Requejo of Fairfax.

Police say Requejo has worked as a swimming instructor at the Oak Marr Recreation Center in Fairfax since 2005. He  also worked as a swim coach throughout the Fairfax community, according to police.

The incidents did not happen at his workplace, say police. They say the victim was not his student, but an acquaintance.

Requejo turned himself in to police at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Detectives believe this is an isolated incident but they are anyone with information to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477, text "TIP187" plus information to CRIMES/274637 or call Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.
