(WUSA9) -- Part of Georgetown Pike was shut down most of the day after a tractor trailer overturned on Monday morning.
Authorities say they received a call at 7:27 a.m. for an overturned vehicle. They found a tanker was leaking sewage into the creek. Authorities aren't sure how much sewage spilled from the tanker, but crews took several hour to clean up. The fire department crews were able to stop further leakage, say authorities.
The driver of the tractor trailer was evaluated by medical crews and determind to be okay, say authorities.
Fairfax County Police? tweeted shortly before 2:30 p.m. that the road had reopened.
