WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC Police say they have arrested a suspect in connection to one of the four stabbings of women in the Petworth area.
Twenty-year-old Garey Jones III is behind bars for the June 19 stabbing of an adult woman on 1100 block of Allison Street NW, police said.
The other stabbings took place on May 5, June 10, June 14 in Northwest D.C. and appear to be similar in nature, police said.
"In each incident, a male subject approached a woman while she was alone and stabbed or cut her with an unknown sharp object," police said.
Jones appeared in court today and is being held without bond.
He is being investigated as a possible suspect in the other three stabbings, police said.
