Police: Man Caught With 590 Prescription Pills After Sleeping Behind Wheel

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man faces drug charges after an officer found him with 590 pills packaged for sale, according to Anne Arundel County Police officials.

They say on Sunday at approximately 2:59 a.m., an officer was on routine patrol in the Point Pleasant community at the intersection of Genine Drive and Furnace Avenue. According to police, the officer saw a vehicle in the roadway, and determined there was someone in the driver's seat, who appeared to be passed out while the vehicle was running.

Police say the officer woke up the driver and "eventually developed probable cause to conduct a search of the car." The officer found a total of 590 pills that were separated by type and packaged for sale, say police.

101 Lorazepam--Schedule IV

117 Clorazepate--Schedule IV
