WASHINGTON (WUSA9) --DC Police say an out-of-town motorcyclist was struck and killed Friday night at the intersection of 23rd Street and Constitution Avenue, NW.
Police officials say that at approximately 11:01 pm, May 24th, a Chrysler Sebring was travelling southbound on 23rd Street, NW while a 2003 three-wheel Harley-Davidson motorcycle was travelling northbound on 23rd Street, NW.
According to police, the operator of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was turning westbound onto Constitution Avenue, NW when he was struck by the Chrysler Sebring.
Police say the motorcyclist was transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police have identified the victim as 66-year-old George Hillis of North Lake Village, Indiana.
The incident is still being investigated.
