Raphael Chad Mwilima and Daquan Marquis Douglas charged for the murder of Michael Nolan Brown

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the murder of 23-year-old Michael Nolan Brown. 

The suspects are identified as 16-year-old Raphael Chad Mwilima of the 3200 block of Weeping Willow Court in Silver Spring and 19-year-old Daquan Marquis Douglas of the 7700 block of Willow Drive in Seat Pleasant, officials said. 

The incident occurred on May 14, at approximately 10:30 p.m., when police responded to the 600 block of Cabin Branch Drive for a shooting. Brown was found unresponsive inside of his home and pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Preliminary investigation shows that Brown was fatally shot after three suspects entered his home and demanded money at gunpoint. 

Both suspects are charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and other charges. Police are still looking for a third suspect. Anyone with information is advised to call police at 301-772-4710.
