(WUSA9) -- Friday, we received more photos of cicadas popping up in Virginia.

Chris Cazeault of Amissville, Va. in northern Culpeper County sent us a photo of cicadas covering a tree. He estimates there are thousands of cicadas.

Carol McGuire says she "can't wait for them to leave..." She sent us some photos of cicadas at a tree in her front yard in Nokesville, Va.

Gail Miller also sent us photos her husband Glenn took of cicadas covering their front porch and driveway in Montclair, Va.

Daniel H. also spotted cicadas in Fort Belvoir on the military installation on Friday morning. He took some close-up pictures for us (see the photo gallery).

Hillary Smith decided to check out her backyard after seeing some viewer photos of cicadas on our Facebook page. She wrote, "I looked on the ground. Didn't see the tell-tale holes. Checked all around the tree trunk. No empty shells hanging like abandoned Christmas ornaments. Looked up on the fence...voila! Three cicadas." She sent us a photo of one on her fence in Manassas.

On Thursday, Shawna of Fredericksburg, Va. emailed us to tell us that her yard is covered in cicadas.  She said the cicadas came out Wednesday night, but she couldn't see them until this morning. Shawna snapped a few photos for us before, she says, the cicadas started to fly and forced her to run back inside her house.

Are you seeing cicadas where you live or work? Let us know. Send an email to with a photo or two and tell us about what you're seeing and where the photo was taken.
