another rendering of B-C connector (BWI)
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport opened a new security checkpoint and a secure connector between Concourses B and C today, airport officials said.
"This new security checkpoint will help ensure the continued success and safety of BWI Marshall," said Governor Martin O'Malley in a press release. "With these infrastructure improvements, we can offer travelers additional convenience and efficiency while providing new opportunities for growth."
The new security checkpoint serves Concourses C, B, and A. The new checkpoint is the largest at BWI Marshall, offering 9-lanes for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to inspect passengers and carry-on items, it said in a press release.
According to the press release, construction work on the B/C Connector and other terminal improvements will continue through the summer months.
