SUITLAND, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police have identified the man who died after being stabbed during a home invasion in Suitland.

Prince George's County police say 35-year-old Nick Charles Boddie of Regency Park court was found when officers responded to Branch Ave. and Southern Ave. for a single car accident at about 2:20 p.m. on Monday.

According to police, officers found Boddie suffering from an apparent stab wound and he was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators believe the stabbing took place at the Boddie's home during a home invasion in the 3800 block of Regency Park Court with a confrontation with one or more suspects, police said.

A friend was driving Boddie to the hospital when the traffic accident happened, say police.

"It could be between 2 or 4 [suspects]. At this point we're not really sure. This is still an on going investigation," Prince George's County Police spokesperson Cpl. Clinton Copeland said.
