FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- The bill proposed to fund the installation of turf fields at all 22 Prince George's County High Schools died recently.
"I didn't get the ball over the goal line," said Jay Walker. The former Howard University football star-turned Maryland Delegate co-authored legislation with Senator Doug Peters.
The bill seemed poised to pass but ran into opposition in the waning moments of the latest legislative session.
