FREDERICKSBURG, VA. (WUSA9)--A security employee at a Fredericksburg club was shot and killed during an altercation between rival groups early Saturday.

A Spotsylvania County Sheriff spokeman says the shooting occurred around 1:00am outside the Q-ball Cafe located at 960 Bragg Road, in Fredericksburg.

Police say witnesses reported that an altercation erupted between two groups attending the rap concert at the club. One group was ejected from the business by club personnel and later became involved in another altercation in the parking lot.

Shortly thereafter, police say, the subjects drove by the club and fired several shots at the front of the establishment, striking one employee who died at the scene.

Police have not identified the victim and are still looking for the perpetrators. Anyone who has information regarding the shooting is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Division or Crime Solvers.
