Serial Groper Strikes for the 24th Time in Va. Home Goods Store, police said

SPRINGFIELD, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for a man who may be responsible for groping women 24 times in Springfield, Va., police said.

The incident occurred at HomeGoods store in Kingstowne Center at approximately 3:00 P.M. today, when a 31-year-old woman was groped by an unidentified man. he followed her into the store and grabbed her. He escaped regardless of efforts by people nearby, according to Franconia Police District.

These series of assaults have happened over the past few months but the key difference in this particular one was that it occurred inside a commercial business with other people present nearby, police said.

Police are suspecting this may be the same person, who they have described before as a Hispanic man around 30 years of age. He was last seen in a black jacket, light-colored pants and a black hat.
