Teen Accused of Deadly Threats at School

 WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9)-- A 14-year old female student at North Point in Waldorf has been arrested and charged with making deadly threats towards teachers and a student, according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office.

 Sheriff's officials say the girl had uploaded an internet video the popular site Youtube. The video they say included verbal threats directed at the girls teachers and one other student.

Diane Richardson, a spokeswoman for the Charles County Sheriff's office says they were alerted to the video and arrested the girl shortly after.

Richardson said investigators "tracked her down within 2 hours."

It's unclear if the unidentified girl had the means or a plan to carry out an attack, but the threats were not taken lightly.

Richardson said ," we take these threats very seriously."

The teen has been suspended from North Point High School and is being charged as a juvenile with making threats and disturbing school activities.
