Workers Bound During Md. Store Armed Robbery

ASPEN HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two employees at the Verizon mobile store were bound during an armed robbery on Tuesday, police say. 

According to Montgomery County Police, three black males entered the store located on 2221 Bel Pre Rd., displaying a gun. 

The robbers tied up the employees and then took an undisclosed about of cash and phones, police said. 

One of the employees was able to get free himself after the suspects left and called police, the Montgomery County Police spokesperson said. 

This is the second or third Verizon mobile store robbery in recent weeks, police said. It is not clear if these robberies are connected.
