TYSONS CORNER, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Fire and Rescue officials posted a photo on Facebook of a rescue from Monday that shows a crew member assisting an injured construction worker down to the ground in Tysons Corner.

According to officials on the department's Facebook page, a construction worker was hit by construction equipment and fell more than 20 plus feet near the Lord and Taylor store,at 1961 Chain Bridge Road.

"Using ingenuity and teamwork, firefighters used the on-site construction crane to rescue the worker that was more than 20 feet below grade, and then used a stokes basket operation to limit his movement, and prevent further injury," wrote officials on the Facebook page.

Officials say the worker was transported to Fairfax INOVA Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
