PASADENA, Md. (WUSA) -- Anne Arundel County Police say a neighbor shot and killed a dog attacking goats in Pasadena on Saturday night.
Police say two goats were killed at a farm in the 800 block of Woods Road on Saturday night. After responding to the scene shortly after 11 p.m. officers learned that a two-year-old Husky was shot and killed by a neighbor who was trying to help the goats escape from the dogs.
Police believe that the Husky and another dog were able to crawl under a fence into the goat pen and attack the goats. The goats' owner asked the neighbor for help and as the neighbor tried to stop the dogs, the dogs turned and charged at him. Shots were fired at both dogs. The Husky was shot and killed, but police believe the other dog ran away, possibly with wounds. That dog and its owner have not been located at this time.
Anyone with information on this incident or the whereabouts of the second dog or its owner is asked to call Anne Arundel County Animal Control at 410-222-8900.
