LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA) -- Leesburg police say a video game console reported stolen from a home was sold at GameStop and detectives were then able to identify a burglary suspect.

The burglary happened on Jan. 14 in the 500 block of Ayrlee Avenue NW in Leesburg. In addition to the video game console, two handguns, handgun ammunition, computer equipment, MP3 players, jewelry, camera equipment, cash and other items were stolen that day.

The next day, detectives found that the game console was sold at a Leesburg GameStop. They were able to identify 25-year-old Aleksander K. Shamloo of Leesburg as the suspect in the burglary.

Police also determined that Shamloo had one of the stolen handguns. On Jan. 16, they obtained a warrant charging Shamloo with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm. On Jan. 17, Shamloo was found and charged. He was held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Two other suspects were also charged during the investigation of the robbery: 23-year-old Donovan Gallagher and 21-year-old Marissa Arpajian. Gallagher is charged with purchasing a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Arpajian is charged with concealment of a stolen firearm.

Authorities say the second stolen handgun was found during a traffic stop in the South Riding area on Jan. 19.  Police say most of the stolen property has been recovered.
