WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- On Thursday morning, Prince William County Police announced they had arrest two men in a homicide from Wednesday.
A man was found in the 15000 block of Cardin Place lying in the street in front of a house. Police say the man had trauma to his face from a knife and a blunt object when he was found unresponsive. Rescue crews determined that he was dead. He was later identified as 47-year-old Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Iraola.
Witnesses told police that two men had pulled up in a older model white van (which was "rounded in shape") outside and left the man before fleeing the area.
The two men were described as follows:
The first suspect was Hispanic, between 5'5" and 5'7" with a thin build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood.
The second suspect was Hispanic or white of the same build and height. He was wearing a black, short sleeved t-shirt with a square design with red and white colors plus a black stocking cap.
Thursday morning, police reported that 25-year-old Juan Carlos Flores had been charged with first degree murder and unauthorized use of a vehicle in relation to the case. Twenty-eight-year-old Jose Miguel Diaz was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
According to police, Flores was involved in the murder and the van belonged to Diaz, but was used without his consent by Flores. Also, police say that Diaz was NOT the second man spotted in the van. They are still looking for the second suspect.
Flores and Diaz are both being held without bond. They are scheduled to appear in court on February 20.
