WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Prince William County Police are searching for the suspects of two store robberies that occurred on Friday, authorities said.

On January 11, at about 10:33 a.m. police responded to reports of an attempted robbery at the Super Cash Checking store located at 10280 Festival Lane.

Police said the suspect pictured above entered the store and attempted to kick open the interior office door. When he failed he fled the scene.

A few hours later, police responded to a robbery at the Shell convenience store at 7025 Sudley Road. Employees told police a man approached the counter to make a purchase. When the register opened the suspect reached over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

He then fled the scene on foot. Police said the suspect did not use a weapon in the two incidents and no one was injured.

According to police, surveillance video shows the suspect to be the same person in both incidents. There is also a second suspect who acts as the driver in a four-door, silver SUV, possibly a Toyota RAV4.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 to 25 years of age, 6'0", thin build with a tattoo on his chest. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater or black long-sleeve shirt, gray sweat pants, black shoes, and a black baseball cap, police said.
