WALDORF, Md. (WUSA) -- Charles County Sheriff's Office authorities say a man wearing a UPS jacket robbed a woman in Waldorf on Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 3400 block of White Fir Court in Waldorf on Thursday at 12:09 p.m. for the report of a robbery.

They learned that a woman was walking to her house when a man wearing a UPS jacket came up to her with a handgun and demanded money. She gave him the money and he fled.

Officers and a K-9 team searched for the suspect. A dog found the UPS jacket, which is believed to be the same jacket that was stolen from a UPS driver Tuesday as he was making a delivery in the same area.

Authorities say the suspect is described as a black male with dark skin, 5'10" tall, in his mid-twenties who may have a pot belly and long dreadlocks possibly worn in a ponytail.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301)-932-2222 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted by texting CHARLES + your tip to CRIMES or visiting www.ccso.us.

A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
