WASHINGTON (WUSA) Since the late 1990's the Redskins have made Landover Maryland their home, but DC Councilman Jack Evans is betting that within the next FIVE YEARS, the Redskins will be back in DC in a new domed stadium.

Evans is Chairman of the Council's Finance and Revenue Committee. He helped bring baseball back to DC. He's confident with RG3 and the team's new success, Dan Snyder will be ready to make the move.

Redskins management has never commented publicly on this issue. People who know about these matters say Dan Snyder would probably have to write a big check to Prince George's County to get out of the Fed Ex Field contract. That contract runs through 20-27.
