3 Officers Injured In Shooting at Police Station In NJ

CLEMENTON , NJ (WUSA/CBS) -Shots were fired at the Gloucester Township police station in New Jersey early Friday morning according to reports.

CBS Philly reported that three police officers were injured, including at least one who was shot just below his bulletproof vest when a suspect being taken into custody for a domestic violence-related incident got into a confrontation with officers.

The deputy police chief said the suspect was able to take a gun and shoot at the officers.

CBS Philly reports the injured officers were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The officer who was shot is reported to be in stable condition and is in surgery while the other two officers should be released from the hospital Friday.

Reports say police killed the shooter.
