Churches Targeted In Leesburg Burglaries

LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA) -- A home and two churches have been burglarized recently in Leesburg, according to police.

Police say there have been four reports for burglaries since December 3rd in the northwest and southwest parts of town near the downtown area.

One home  burglarized during the day in the 200 block of West Market Street SW, say police. St. James Episcopal Church in the unit block of Cornwall St. NW and the Leesburg United Methodist Church in the 100 block of West Market Street SW also reported burglaries. The latest burglary was reported this morning.

In each case, cash and valuable property was taken while the buildings were unoccupied.
