5 Displaced After Fairfax County House Fire

POHICK, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax County Fire officials say 5 people have displaced after a fire at their home in the Pohick area on Wednesday night.

At approximately 7:50 p.m., firefighters responded to the two-story home in the 7600 block of Davisfield Lane and found smoke and fire coming from the left and rear sides.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. 

The occupants, two adults and three children, were not at home when the fire broke out. After an estimated $150,000 in damage, the family has been displaced. Red Cross support was declined, say officials. 

The fire is under investigation.
