Samantha Alicia Mirro of Nokesville, charged with assault and battery on LEO, domestic assault & battery, destruction of property and resisting arrest in Manassas
MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- A Nokesville woman is charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and other charges after slipping out of handcuffs on her way to the detention center on Tuesday in Prince William County.
Police say 21-year-old Samantha Alicia Mirro was arrested for assaulting a 22-year-old Manassas man on Parkside Drive at 5:28 a.m. on Tuesday. The man received minor injuries and Mirro was arrested.
According to police, Mirro was riding to the Adult Detention in a police cruiser and unlatched her seat belt. She then kicked the window several times, dislodging it. When the officer stopped the cruiser to try to secure her, he discovered she had gotten a hand out of the handcuffs. She then assaulted the officer.
Other officers were able to detain Mirro.
Mirro is charged with assault and battery on LEO, domestic assault & battery, destruction of property and resisting arrest. She is being held on a $7,000 secured bond.
