ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA) --- Alexandria city officials say crews are doing balloon testing for the next several weeks to get a sense of "the visual impacts of the proposed three Potomac Yard Metrorail Station location alternatives."

In a press release last week, officials said specialized balloon will be used between November 19 and December 7 to take photographs and video images of each of the possible locations.

Officials warn that people may be able to see balloons above the George Washington Memorial Parkway for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and are asking drivers NOT to stop along the Parkway during this time.
