ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The owner of a stolen life-sized stuffed goat is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to its return.

Ronald Carlberg says his stuffed goat was a fixture at U.S. Naval Academy football games for years until it was stolen last month.

The Baltimore Sun reports the retired Air Force colonel is offering the reward to help Annapolis police. Police are seeking the public's help identifying a person in a photo released earlier this month. Police say the person had the goat at the time it was taken.

Carlberg says he put the goat inside his Jeep during an October game but didn't roll up a window. When the Alexandria, Va., resident he returned the goat was gone.

The Naval Academy's mascot is a live goat named Bill.
