SPRINGFIELD, Va. (WUSA) -- A 9th case has now been linked to a serial groper in Fairfax County.
Police say he's struck women of all ages, from 15 to 42 years old, since September.
The latest incident happened last Thursday about a half hour after another incident that took place on the same day near Hibbling Ave. in Springfield.
Many of the women were going about their business, walking with their children, going to work, and picking up their kids.
The victims all share a similar description of their attacker, same build, wearing red baseball cap.
Christine Kenlen and nearby residents are on high alert after the latest attack on Hibbling Avenue near Dinwiddie Street in Springfield.
"Now I'm scared of walking home," she said.
Police say the most recent incident involved a 42-year-old victim. She was disturbed by the incident but delayed telling anyone because she didn't know the process of reporting a crime.
Lucy Caldwell with Fairfax County Police, "I believe English was an issue and unfamiliar with but she was talking with a friend and upset about it and urged her to report it so she did."
9News talked with a woman who didn't want to be identified and says her mother is one of the 9 victims attacked back in September also on Hibbling Avenue
She says the man grabbed her mother's breasts. She screamed and struggled to get free.
All nine cases happened in the Springfield/Franconia area of Fairfax County.
Officers have increased patrols in the neighborhood.
But police are finding that there could be a 10th case that happened in October. A victim in Falls Church told detectives that the man in the sketch grabbed her buttocks and wouldn't let go until she screamed.
Fairfax County police are looking into a possible link.
Police say there could be more victims out there who don't know that the cases could be linked.
