Multiple Arrests Made On Drug Charges

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (WUSA) -  Police in St. Mary's County have made multiple arrests on drug charges in several cases.

Brandi Marie Beckett , 29, and Crystal Lynn Quade, 22, both  inmates in the St. Mary's County Detention Center, were charged for their part in smuggling prescription medication (Methadone) into the secured facility. A third suspect has related pending charges.

Lekuarius Clifford Plater,30, of Lexington Park, Md., was arrested after Vice/Narcotics indicted him through the St. Mary's County Grand Jury after numerous undercover purchases of "Crack" cocaine were made over a several month period. Additional charges are pending.

 Andrew Steven Turkovich Jr. aka "Turkey,"20, of California, Md. was arrested with amounts of heroin that indicated the intent to distribute.

Amanda Lynn Kinder, 28, of St. Leonard, was arrested by Patrol deputies for an outstanding warrant. Vice/Narcotics detectives were contacted by correctional staff after there was suspicion she was in possession of contraband. Detectives recovered items that included syringes, a metal spoon, "Oxycodone" and "Alprazolam she had hidden inside her body. She was charged accordingly.

Jacquelyn Tilley Delay, 40, Great Mills,was indicted and subsequently arrested for her role in smuggling prescription medication into the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
