ASBURY PARK, N.J. (WUSA) - Residents of the New Jersey shore are coping with the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, which roared up the coast on Monday. The storm caused massive flooding and power outages in the beach towns, including Belmar and Asbury Park. President Obama, accompanied by N.J. governor Chris Christie, toured the damaged areas on Wednesday and promised swift action in restoring order to the Garden State's iconic shore.

9News's Bruce Johnson talked to residents and those helping to clean up the affected beach areas.
