Virginia State Police Step Up Patrols For Hurricane Sandy

(WUSA) -- Virginia State Police say more troopers are out responding to traffic crashes and other situations due to weather conditions from Hurricane Sandy.

As of 6 a.m. Monday, troopers had gone to 411 traffic crashes in the state but no storm-related traffic deaths were reported, according to Virginia State Police.

Dive teams have also been placed on the Eastern Shore, Hampton Roads, Richmond and Northern Virginia.
