MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Firefighters in Prince William County had their hands full with an overnight 3-alarm fire in Manassas.

Battalion Chief Curtis Brodie tells 9 NEWS NOW the blaze broke out at the Stor-All Self Storage Facility at 7909 Sudley Road around 11:00 Sunday night. Firefighters arriving on scene found heavy fire coming from the large storage building and called for a 3-alarm response.

Sudley Road was shut down due to the large amount of emergency vehicles on the scene and hose lines that had to be stretched across the roadway. Sudley Road has since reopened.

Chief Brodie says the fire has been brought under control, however the building has suffered extensive damage. Approximately 80 storage units were damaged or destroyed, and have been listed as unsafe structures. Clean-up efforts are expected to last through the morning due to the large amount of burned debris that needs to be cleared out.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
