The incident happened on Monday at the Brunswick Little League Park at 100 A Cummings Drive in Brunswick as Deener was speaking to WHAG about being bullied. Three boys approached him and one boy hit him in the head. Then the boy chased Deener, who ran across the street back on to school property.

We talked to Deener and his mother shortly after the assault. You can see that interview here: http://on.wusa9.com/VZOcNG

In a press release on Friday, authorities do not name either boy involved in the incident. They do say the male who committed the assault was charged via referral to the Department of Juvenile Services with one count of second degree Assault after their investigation was completed on Thursday.
