52-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured In Virginia Jewelry Store Robbery

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) -- Police are searching for the suspect pictured here in a fatal armed robbery at a jewelry store.

On Friday, Arlington County Police discovered the body of a 52-year-old man with a fatal injury inside a jewelry store located at the 3200 block of Columbia Pike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Relatives of the victim called police after the elderly man, a Herndon resident, did not return home from his shift.

Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the store. He is described as a black male, in his 50's, approximately 5'7", with medium built. He was wearing a neon-colored traffic vest at the time of the robbery.
