OAKTON, Va. (WUSA) -- At Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia, there are some really tech savvy kids who aren't even in kindergarten yet.

The four and five year olds at Flint Hill School are learning counting, colors and shapes by capturing the images themselves using the hottest technology on the market.

We asked James, "Is it hard to take pictures with an iPad or is it easy?"

He replied, "It's easy."

"What is the next thing you have to find?" we asked him.

"Three green things," he told us.

James got three green items and took a picture.

James, and every other student, eacb have their own iPad 2, which will travel with them year to year.

Junior kindergarten teacher Julie Thomas told us, "Things they used to do with paper and pencil will now be done on their electronic devices in a much more creative way."

Learning the building blocks of the technology now helps prepare them for the future, but it seems the future is already here. They may only be 4 or 5 years old but they already know the lingo. As the preschoolers easily point, shoot and swipe, they are doing a little teaching too -- and the grown-ups think that's pretty cool.
