WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Dr. Rachel Brem, Director of the Breast Imaging and Interventional Center at George Washington University Medical Center and Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology, will appear Thursday at 3 p.m. EST on The Dr. Oz show on CBS/WUSA9.
As a "cancer detective" on the show, Brem showcases new technology that can augment mammograms for earlier detection. She says there is an increased need for women with dense breasts to be examined with ultrasound technology because they have a higher need for further examination.
The Brem Foundation was established in Brem's name in 2004. It's a grassroots effort supporting the purchase of advanced technology, research and community outreach in the DC area.
