WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- If you have a Burlington Basket Company bassinet, stop using it now.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 500,000 of the baby bassinets.
The problem is that the cross brace rails do not fully lock into position.
The bassinet can collapse and cause injuries to the infant. And according to reporting data, two infants received minor injuries, a bruise to the head and a bruise to the shoulder, after falling from the bassinet once it collapsed.
The affected models have folding legs attached to the basket with white plastic pins. They were made before June 2010, and sold at Walmart, department stores and juvenile product stores nationwide.
The $50 bassinets were also sold by online retailers including Amazon.com from January 2003 through August 2010.
The non-folding leg styles that are attached with metal pins are not a part of the recall.
