WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Center for Science in the Public Interest is out with the worst restaurant meal in America.

The group better known as the "food police" wants to send this dish 20,000 leagues under the sea: Long John Silver's Big Catch with Onion Rings, which was introduced in May.

The basket meal comes with a seven to eight ounce piece of breaded and fried haddock, hush puppies and onion rings.
The meal adds up 1,350 calories, but that's not CSPI's key concern.

According to the group's own lab tests, the meal contains 33 grams of trans fats  (16 times your recommended daily intake), 19 grams of saturated fat, and 3700 milligrams of sodium.

"This company is taking perfectly healthy fish and entombing it in a thick crust of batter and partially hydrogenated oil. The result? A heart attack on a hook. Instead of the Big Catch, I'd call it America's Deadliest Catch, " says CSPI executive director Michael F. Jacobson.
