WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- We all know our own reactions towards the two men who allegedly perpetrated the deadly bombings that decimated this week's Boston Marathon, but what can you say if you're Dzokhar and Tamarlan Tsarnaev's mom or dad?

They are two pairs of shoes we never will even begin to understand what it's like to stand in.

Imagine being a family member of the two men who allegedly caused such death and destruction at an event synonymous with celebrating the American spirit. These family members are speaking out.

The men's aunt, Maret Tsarnaeva, gave a news conference from her Toronto, Canada home today. Of the men's father, she says "He knows them as angels, I know them as angels too."

She is obviously in denial. She also said. "Some reporter said to me this morning here, do you know last report when Tamerlan was circled, he was wearing explosives I said did you see him with your own two eyes? Tamarlan ID'd already that it was ...Tamarlan that he was standing there with explosives? I cannot take this kind of information lightly. What century are we living in. We need evidence."

The two suspects' uncle Alvi Tsarni lives in Montgomery Village. He says his older nephew, Tamarlan, called him yesterday, asking for forgiveness for past disagreements. He too is in denial, "Evidence, then I will know they did it, I can't believe it now."

A mile away, another uncle, Ruslan Tsarni held his own very different news conference. He said this to reporters today, "Of course, we're ashamed. Yes, we're ashamed, they're children of my brother who had little influence of them, honestly. What I think was behind it, being losers, not being able to settle themselves and thereby hating everyone who did. No, they never been in Chechnya, this has nothing to do with Chechnya, Chechnyans are different, Chechnyans are peaceful people."

Back to denial now, and the suspect's father, Anzor Tsarnaev, who gave an interview in Russia, "Someone framed them. I don't know who exactly did it. But someone did. And being cowards, they shot the boy dead. There are cops like this."

Their mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, says her sons were framed, it's impossible they did this. She says her older son got passionate about religion 5 years ago. But, she also says this, "He was controlled by FBI for three to five years. They knew what my son was doing, they knew what actions and what the sites on internet he was going, how could his happen? They were controlling every step of him and they're telling today that it's a terrorist act."

CBS News has reported that the FBI admitted they interviewed Tamarlan Tsarnaev two years ago and couldn't find any incriminating information.
