BOSTON (WUSA9) - Monica Villegas of Chicago was at the Boston Marathon near the blasts Monday. Villegas said she saw people around her with their legs severed.
"It's given me more strength," Villegas told our Bruce Leshan fighting back tears. "I feel like I want to run for these people who lost their legs."
"I wanted to help them but I was also worried there were going to be other explosions," Villegas said.
Villegas and her friend Lupe Arriaga who ran in the race, were unharmed.
