WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- We know the Smithsonian and memorials are closed. But what about tomorrow morning's job along the Potomac or your tee time at Hains point?
Hains Point is a ghost town. You can forget about your tee time because the golf course is closed at East Potomac Park.
Also golf courses at:
Langston -- entrance gate will be closed.
Rock Creek -- entrance gate will be closed.
Meridian Hill Park -- closed
Gravelly Point -- closed
George Washington Parkway overlooks -- closed
It's not doing much for Jimmy Cunningham's swing.
Jimmy Cunningham said, "I can't do the driving shots. I can't do the full practice. Completely shut down. I Can't even use the bathrooms."
The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center remains open to visitors, while the battlefield is closed.
Paddle boats at the Tidal Basin are not leaving the dock.
The C & O Canal is shutdown. That means boat houses such as Fletcher's Boat House and Thompson's Boat Center are closed.
A jogger spoke to WUSA9, "There's no sign at the head of the trail so I figured I was good to go."
But there were plenty of bikers and joggers along the towpath.
Curtains are closed at Ford's Theatre but they're making plans for other venues for their shows.
But we don't want to be a complete downer on this Friday. Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is open.
The National Building Museum, The Newseum, The Spy, Crime and Punishment Museums are open.
The Kennedy Center -- Open. All shows will be performed but hours will be scaled back.
Arlington Cemetery -- Open
Mount Vernon -- Open
The National Building Museum is open, but if you want to get into any of the exhibits you have to pay. A good bet, if there's an admission it will most likely open.
The National Park Service looks the other way as veterans and other visitors walk into the WWII Memorial.
"I don't think WWII vets would have it any other way. It would take more than a few park rangers to keep them out."
Park police tried to kick out visitors at the Vietnam Wall, but they kept coming.
So it seems there's still a lot to see despite the shutdown.
