LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police showed off their new cruisers Thursday at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

Police officials say that they haven't had new cars like these since the 1990s.

The cruisers, which are a different make and model and feature new color schemes and technology, display the department's Twitter handle @PGPDNews and the slogan "First to Serve."

There are 24 of the cruisers now but there will be a total of 75, say police. They hope to get at least six cruisers in every week.

Police are asking the public to weigh in on the new cars. You can let them know on their Facebook page:!/media/set/?set=a.680098678675267.1073741939.109400552411752&type=1
