Willie Nelson has postponed concerts in Mississippi this weekend after three members of his band were injured in a bus accident in Texas.
The tour bus crashed into a bridge in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Authorities said rainy conditions caused the accident. The accident took place at 3:30 a.m. CST Saturday on Interstate 30 approximately 75 miles northeast of Dallas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety told media that Nelson was not on the bus.
Nelson spokeswoman Elaine Schock says Paul English broke his ankle, his brother Billy English suffered a bruise hip and Tom Harkin has a cracked or bruised rib.
Nelson was scheduled to perform in Tunica, Miss., on Saturday night before traveling to Jackson for a Sunday performance. He also had performances scheduled in Fayetteville, Ark., and Lafayette, La.
No date has been set for the rescheduled shows.
