WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - A man's body was found in Rock Creek Friday afternoon and DC police detectives are investigating that man's death. The victim has not been identified.
It was first reported shortly before noon on Friday, when a jogger spotted the body and called police. DC Police officers from the Second District responded to the area of Rock Creek Parkway just north of Water Street, NW to investigate. When they arrived, they located the man's body floating in the creek. U.S. Park Police also responded. MPD Homicide detectives were called to the scene.
The man's remains were taken to Medical Examiner's office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
