ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Brian Orakpo and London Fletcher could be leading a mass exodus from the Washington Redskins defense this offseason.
They are two of seven defensive starters set to become free agents at the end of the year.
Fletcher said Thursday it's "not ideal" to have so much of the defense not under contract.
Fletcher is 38 and has never missed an NFL game, but he's having his least productive season since the 1990s. He said there are several factors that could determine whether he returns.
There should be plenty of demand for Orakpo, who has 5½ sacks in the last four games.
The Redskins are 3-9 and host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
