ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Santana Moss makes the case that coach Mike Shanahan should return as coach of the Washington Redskins next season.

Robert Griffin III offered a more measured response Wednesday when asked about the same topic.

Moss says, "The grass ain't always greener," and said the coaches should be given another chance to work with Griffin through the offseason.

Meanwhile, Griffin had to be asked twice before he saying of the coaches: "I think these guys have a great future, and I love having them here, and that's all I can say."

Griffin will likely have to endure at least four more weeks of similar questions. The Redskins are 3-9 and playing for pride in December with an eye on the future.

The Redskins host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
