(WUSA9)--- Congressman Patrick E. Murphy attended Aria Development's ribbon cutting cocktail reception for The Bond, the newest luxury apartments in DC's West End neighborhood, Nov. 20, 2013.
Murphy joined Aria Development Owner Joshua Benaim at a memorable bash for local VIPs, media and building residents to celebrate The Bond's $10 million renovation.
Guests made a toast and were treated to tunes from a live jazz band. They also had the chance to pursue the apartment building's available homes.
The Bond's renovation included brand-new interiors for 83 distinctive studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They also featured new European kitchens designed by Deborah Kalkstein along with all new washers, dryers and systems including an advanced video intercom.
The Bond is the first apartment community in the city to offer advanced energy-saving Nest programmable thermostats, which can learn occupants' behavior and can be controlled remotely by iPhone.
